Raw Cacao Bean – Venezuela Sur del Lago

Venezuela Sur del Lago Raw Cacao Beans

0 customer reviews

Raw, unshelled cacao beans (Theobroma cacao) from Venezuela are characterized by an intense flavour of milk chocolate with notes of exotic fruits. They have low acidity and a slight hint of pleasant bitterness. They come from the evergreen Caribbean province of Sur del Lago, whose name was adopted for this species of cacao beans.

Raw cacao beans should be roasted before consumption. The grains should not be eaten raw.

What are Cacao Beans?

Unhulled and dried cacao beans.

Properties of cacao

This Cacao contains more antioxidants than red wine and 3 times more than green tea.

Cacao is an important source of tryptophan, which affects the formation of serotonin, as well as phenylethylamine, which supports the synthesis of dopamine, and a number of B, C and E vitamins.

In addition, cacao contains a number of mineral salt elements such as magnesium, iron, chromium, phosphorus, calcium, sulfur, zinc, potassium and selenium.

In addition, the high content of healthy cacao butter, theobromine and anandamide makes cacao a natural, mild stimulant.

All this makes cacao a natural, powerful antidepressant, mood booster and energizer.
