Uganda Río Lamia Bio Caremonial Cocoa
Ceremonial BIO/Organic cocoa (full-fat cocoa paste, cocoa pulp) of the Forastero variety, comes from Uganda’s western Bundibugyo region. This unique cocoa is characterised by an intense chocolate-bitter flavour, with light rum notes on the finish. This cocoa has very low acidity and astringency.
The cocoa is sourced from the Ugandan co-operative Esco union of farmer cooperatives of the same name. Esco Uganda holds a number of certifications, including BIO, Fairtrade and RainForest.
