View allLocated in the heart of Brazil’s Atlantic Protected Forest (Mata Atlântica), Bom Jesus Plantation is a cacao oasis that has been inspiring sustainable development for years. Owned by the Cabrucaco cooperative in the state of Bahia, Bom Jesus is managed by Patrick, a man who has made the conservation and regeneration of the land his life’s purpose. In 1987, Patrick became one of the first organic cocoa producers in Brazil, paving the way for sustainable production.
Bom Jesus operates in an agroforestry system, where intercrops are grown using biodynamic farming practices. The plantation has been transformed into a lush cocoa paradise, where cocoa disease has been overcome through organic cultivation.
With its Demeter certification, Bom Jesus confirms its commitment to biodynamic agriculture. These practices focus on ensuring soil fertility and carbon capture, which is extremely important in the face of climate change. Going beyond organic farming methods, Bom Jesus incorporates a spiritual and energetic perspective, following strict guidelines for sustainable and regenerative practices.
