Cocoa Beans

In our store we offer selected raw beans from many corners of the world - including, Colombia, Peru and even Thailand. Raw cacao beans are ideal for making the truest chocolate, as well as for munching as a healthy snack.

The cocoa fruit contains large beans 1 to 3 cm long. After they are removed from the fruit, they undergo a process of fermentation for several days, followed by drying and roasting. In this way, the raw material is obtained, from which, after grinding, cocoa paste is created, and by extension: real chocolate.

Uses of cocoa beans

During chocolate production, raw cocoa beans are dried and roasted before grinding - this allows them to extract the right flavor profile and also kills microorganisms. Therefore, raw seeds ordered from our store are not suitable for direct consumption - they must be roasted in a dry pan beforehand.

Bio, Fairtrade and Rainforest certified cocoa beans

We strive to ensure that our range of cocoa beans does not lack certified products. We are talking about seeds that come from organic and sustainable plantations, but also those in the production of which the principles of fair trade and the state of the rainforest were taken care of. Thus, we supply cocoa not only certified as bio/organic, but also Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance certified beans.

Wholesale quantities of raw cocoa beans

Our raw cocoa beans can be ordered not only at retail, but also as a wholesale option. While a 25-kilogram package will be ideal for a small store or cafe, a large manufacturer of chocolate or other confectionery products can source entire containers of beans from us!

Delivery times for wholesale batches of cocoa depend on the availability of the specific product and the size of the order, but we always strive to get the goods to the customer within a few days or weeks.
